Sovereign Ruler of the universe. We need to acknowledge this fact, and to understand what it means. What exactly is the nature of sovereignty? What does it mean to say that God is sovereign? In a sense we may say that sovereignty is an attribute of God, similar to His power and His greatness and His majesty. But on more careful analysis it may appear to be more like a right that God possesses because of who He is. In this section we want to see what is involved in this right or prerogative.
